What you'll do
A whole prison to master
Inspired by the classic RuneScape grind: pick a skill, start working, and watch the numbers climb, with everyone else on the Rock right there beside you.
Keeps going without you
Set a goal like "until I have 500 hides" and walk away. Your prisoner keeps working while you're logged out and tells you what they got when you're back.
World events
Every so often the whole Rock pitches in together: chop down the Ironbark, mine a fallen meteor, net a giant shoal, cook the Canteen Feast and more. Everyone who helps earns event tokens for skilling outfits.
The Behemoth rises
Every few hours a world boss bursts out of the Pit. Everyone online piles in, and everyone who fights gets a share of the loot.
Halloween on the Rock
Every October the Haunted Crypt opens: candy, pumpkin heads, and the Haunted Gauntlet, ten rooms of monsters with the Grim Reaper waiting at the end.
Hall of Fame
Be the first prisoner to reach 99 in a skill and a statue goes up in the Hall of Fame with your name on it, for good.
Smuggled notes
Monsters drop notes that send you around the Rock: torn maps, riddles, strange requests. Follow the trail and dig up a contraband stash.
Loot worth bragging about
Gold-trimmed armour, rare hats, pets, skill capes and the Crown of the Rock. Rare finds are announced to the whole prison.
Crews, Slayer and more
Join a crew and wear its colours, take Slayer tasks from Voss, trade on the Exchange, run quests, or go it alone as an Ironman.

Frequently asked
Is it free?
Yes, completely free, and nobody can buy levels, items or power.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in any modern browser, on a computer, phone or tablet. Just press Play.
Does it keep playing when I close the tab?
Yes. Whatever you were doing carries on while you're away: an hour to start with, and up to 12 hours with permits from the Commissary. You get a summary of everything you earned when you come back.
What happens to my guest character?
Guests are kept for a week after you last played (a month if you've played 2 hours or more). Save your progress any time to keep your character forever, with everything it's earned.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. It works on phones and tablets in the browser. Turn your phone sideways for the biggest view, and hold your finger on anything for more options (like right-clicking on a computer).
Is this connected to RuneScape?
No. Colony Exodus is an independent game inspired by the old-school RuneScape style of skilling and grinding.
